To start off this year’s journey, I find it best to create an overview beforehand, to plan out my activities. Since I’ve been wanting to learn more about making websites and since making websites is a hobby that will take some time to master, I think it will be nice to combine this with tracking my creative progress.

I’ve marked January as the month of Building Website & Planning Creative Activities. I’ve given myself the time this month to get familiar with WordPress and to get my websites started, as well as planning my creativity (as far as that’s possible). I’d like to think that I fully agree with the statement that creativity and inspiration must flow freely and be utilised at the moments they present themselves, but strategic planning must surely be effective as well. I think I’d rather believe that a combination of all three ensures the most success from any perspective. This is also one of the things I’ll be exploring this year.

I’ve created this Chalunaria website to specifically track my hobbies and projects, so that I can use my personal website for rather work-related purposes. The thought of using social media for personal purposes like these, chips away at my focus on authenticity and demotivates me immensely. I will, however, be posting final results on my social media profiles and hesitantly try to reach a modest audience, as I would much rather attract (members of) communities that are genuinely intrigued by the things I create.
